Booking
The properties are let for full weeks from Easter until the end of October, plus Christmas and New Year. Short breaks, for a minimum of 3 nights, are available from November to Easter excluding Christmas and New Year.
Chestnut Cottage bookings run from Friday to Friday and Crookelty Farmhouse and Crookelty Byre run from Saturday to Saturday.
Prior to booking please check the availability calendar for the property and week you are interested in. These calendars are updated whenever we take a booking.
If the property is available and you would like to book or make an enquiry please fill in the form on the website and e-mail it to us. You should receive a response within 24 hours. To confirm a booking we require a deposit of one third of the total cost. The balance should then be paid 6 weeks prior to your arrival. For bookings made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival the full amount should be paid at the time of booking. We will hold a booking for a few days until the deposit cheque is received. Payment is by cheque, or by bank transfer. Cheques should be made payable to “Chestnut Cottages” and sent to Mrs B Brownrigg at Chestnut Barn, Millbeck, Keswick , Cumbria , CA12 4PS. Receipt will be confirmed by e-mail.
Cancellations
We strongly advise all our guests to take out holiday insurance in case of cancellation. Our policy is to refund if we can get another booking for the cancelled week. In some cases we may have to reduce the cost of the week in order to sell quickly, this will mean only a partial refund is given. If you cancel at short notice there is a chance you will lose your money. Unfortunately, as a small business we cannot afford to accept losses due to late cancellations. Please note that if we do get another booking you will not be refunded until we have received the deposit for the new booking.
